Problem with my braces??
Question: So I got my braces exactly a week ago. My bottom teeth have spacers or whatever they are called (the metal things that go around you back teeth and where the wire is strung through.)
Well randomly I feel something rub up against the side of my mouth so I feel around and the wire feels messed up. So I go and check in the mirror and sure enough on my bottom right side the wire is bent. The weird thing is, it's still in the spacers (or whatever they are called)
My mom thinks that maybe it's just that my teeth have moved, causing the extra wire to move too. But my next appointment isn't until Jan. 10th so I thought maybe that wasn't the case because that's a month a way... a little too soon to make any adjustments.
We're calling the dentist/going to see them tomorrow because they are closed right now, but I was just seeing if this was normal and part of the process or if I was an idiot and did something wrong.
Thanks if you can help.

the silver things are called bands.
if the end of the wire is through the tube and is bent on the other side they might have done it like that so it doesn't pop out and poke your cheek.

More than likely you didn't do anything wrong. When I had braces the wires were constantly out of the brackets in the back of my mouth b/c my teeth shifted...But I would definitely have it checked out especially if it starts to hurt...Because once the wire came out of the bracket on one of my back molars and the wire actually made dugs itself into my skin.
