Questions about mouth expanders??
Question: i got an expandor today. its so hard for me to swallow (mainly spit). will it get easier to swallow or will it always be hard?
also, i cant talk right. how long does it take to get back to normal talking? or will i ever speak right with this on?
and i keep getting food stuck between my expandor and the top of my mouth. does anyone else have this problem? will i get better at not havin this happen? or will it always happen?
and last. is it hard to get used to havin these things? is it like braces, wierd to have at first but eventually you dont even notice them? or will it always annoy me to have this?

I supposed you have the fixed type, right? Any orthodontic treatment is uncomfortable the first week or two. But don't worry you'll get used to it in time. As soon as your dentist have achieved his/her goal, your burden will be over, its not a whole treatment appliance.
