This is for all you Dentists or Orthadontists??
Question: Hey im 13
but i really want to be an orthadontist. like im not jokeing im sure.
So i need advice: What did yall do to become a dentist/ orthadontist. Like classes at school, volenteer work ex..
Answers: agree with first answer. Also, to make your way to dental school smoother and more likely, you should spend a lot of time in high school studying for good grades so that you can be eligible for scholarships for college (you will make more money in scholarships than you will with a high school job so, explain this to your parents, don't get a high school job (summers are ok), and study all the time. =]
Keep in mind you'll need a high gpa to get into dental school and then a high gpa in dental school to become an orthodontist...
I would recommend community college to start (1st one to two years) because less competition (better grades), cheaper, and often can live at home (save money and stay out of trouble).
best answer was 1st response - observation very important to determine if that's really what you want to do. You may want to observe some other health careers as well. Best wishes!
I am not a dental professional, but I would see if u could volunteer at a local dentist office or shadow one for a day. Also make sure u know exactly what types of things they do. U can start looking for colleges that offer dental school. Good luck and good job for looking for careers early. it will help u in the long run. Good luck!!!!
