Answers: If it is asymptomatic (not hurting or swollen) then don't do anything until you see the dentist.
it may be an abcess. swoosh with warm salt water, like a tablespoon in a cup of water. i do this for all mouth owies :D. i've heard putting a clove in between your cheek and gum by the owie is supposed to help, but i hate cloves, so i have never tried this. i would do the warm salt water three or four times a day.
