I asked a few people in Tennessee this question and they said, What's a dentist? So not so important in Tennessee
Very, alot of the healthcare plans for dentists are pretty bad.
Bad dental health can affect overall health and it should be recognized as such.
Its been proven that dental health has great impact on a persons overall health. I think its important for a community to be healthy. Health comes from so many aspects dentists happen to be one of those aspects. So dentists like every other part of forming a healthy community are very important.
I think it is very important. I like having a clean mouth, and no one can do that like the dentist can. It not only makes me feel better about my health, but it also makes me feel better about my appearance. And we all know how that goes...
Plus, if a dentist wasn't important then why brush? I brush to keep my teeth healthy and clean. And if i didn't care about my dental health, then I wouldn't care about a dentist. I hope that made sense.
I think dentistry is one of the most beneficial and effective professions of modern society. I think it plausible that they prevent more suffering per man/hour than any other practice.
Dentists who treat the 'Special Needs' population is even more valuable, since they are so hard to find... there are only a couple of organizations who fill this need...
Private dentists are plentiful, which is a good thing since there are so many dental HMO's out there... no one likes to have to drive for over an hour to see a dentist who participates with their insurance company. Those with PPO participation and/or payment plans are more pleasing to the consumer.... but just as rare as those who treat Special Needs.
