Braces Are Really Tight...??

Question: I just got my braces tighened yesterday. They hurt so much... I mean they've been tighened before, but they've never felt like this. Can you guys tell me what I should eat? And give me ideas on what I should for pain, other than pain killers.
Answers: Jell-o, pudding, soup, chili, smoothies, ice cream, spaghetti...anything that is soft or doesn't really have to be chewed. Take some motrin or ibuprofen. besides that, there isn't much you can do, except wait it out.

Sometimes they tighten them more than other times. That could be why it feels different.
ice cream and whatever is cold......my brother use to drink cold cold ice water....said it made it better....
Take some ibuprofen if you can. Also ice on your cheeks (each side for 15 minutes) might help. try having carnation instant breakfast with milk and ice cream (do it in a blender) for dinner tonight. that helped when my kids braces were really sore.
well try jello, pudding, ice cream, brownies, soft food like maybe a little meat or cheese. tyr to get things that sdon't requier a lot of chewing like Ramen Noodles or Campbells soup/!
I felt the same when I had braces it's very normal to feel that way even if it's not the first time they've been tightened. As for what to eat I would recommend you to have veggies soup, grounded meat, and mashed potatoes.

Time will make the pain go away, sorry I dont know of anything that could help your pain.

Hope you'll feel better, I know it sucks!
Ugh. I've felt that pain before. I stuck with soups, macaroni & cheese, and rice. Jell-o and pudding doesn't stay with you long enough to have your hunger satiated for very long. As for the pain, if you do not want to pop Tylenol, perhaps try an ice pack or pinching really hard the part of your hand between the thumb and index finger, and hold it as long as you can tolerate it. It works to rid one of headaches, but I am not sure for mouth pain.
I had the same thing happen to me. I'm sorry you're in pain. Ibuprofen helped me, as well as cold drinks. A slurpee, milkshake or ice cold water. As far as food, I ate mashed potatoes, peas, oatmeal, mac and cheese, ice cream, hashbrowns, and eggs. All are soft enough to mash with very little pressure. The pain will subside on its own after your teeth move a little. Mine felt better within a week.
it really seems to help me when i brush my teeth softly and chew some gum (i know they say not to but i do it anyway lol). also try some salt water, and swish some mild mouthwash or water around in your mouth. eat some jello, ice cream, oatmeal, applesauce, baby food (lol i know its gross but i know people who eat it), and anything else that is soft. good luck!
