Hi i was told if you have teeth marks at the side of your tounge it was your liver??


Question: i used to drink a lot in my younger days is there something wrong with my liver if i have teeth marks around the outside of my tounge
Answers: No! It is called a scalloped tongue. It usually occurs in the morning because your tongue is resting against your teeth all night, but if you have a larger tongue then it can also happen. I have heard that it is a sign of hypothyroidism, but not a very common sign. Here is a picture:

Yes I have heard it but it was from those two stupid women on the television who work with fat people. They pretend to know what they're talking about but they don't really.
i was told by a dentist your mouth and gums give a clue to your health . my dad was told by his dentist he was run down and to see a doc , He did an his test showed he had cancer of the blood get an mot at your docs just ask to see the health nurse and she will do the rest . I t puts your mind at rest.
i have never heard of this before, surly its not true,
I dont have teeth marks on my tongue, but I have them on the toilet door after a good strain.
