How much would it cost to get a tooth fixed ? no insurance??

Question: My teeth have always been beautiful, in last five years just one next to my I tooth on the left has rotted, when I smile big you can see it, I want to get it fixed, need to know how much it would cost? Thanks
Answers:
It depends on the area of the mouth. Is it anterior or posterior? How many surfaces? Does it just need a filling or a root canal also? I could estimate it for you...
If it is an anterior tooth (canine to canine) it could be ~$120-230 (depending or surfaces). An anterior root canal would be ~$575.00
If it's posterior a filling could be $140-270 (for a white compostite filling, which most dentists do now days because they last longer, and look nicer). If it is a posterior amalgam (silver) filling it could be ~$100-200. Posterior root canals could be ~$650 (bicuspid) or ~$775 (molar).
They could also possibly charge you for an office call, any x-rays, and possibly a palliative treatment.
These of course are just estimates to give you an idea!
If you can see that it has rotted, you will most likely need a root canal and a crown, which will cost around $1,500 out of pocket.

In the very least, you'll need a filling, which will run around $300.
