Is it normal for 5 yr old to get second set of molars??

Question: My son gained teeth early (3yrs 3 wk) and lost teeth early (4 yrs 10 mos), but as I look in his back right side he has a second molar coming in and it appears to be coming in sideways!!? I do not want him to go through anymore bad dental stuff as he had 12 caps due to lack of enamel at 14 mos, but should I schedule appt. with orthodontist? He has a cleaning on the 9th so a dentist can look at it, but he has been having headaches pretty frequently, now I believe the tooth may be to blame. If you know about dental problems or have any pointers could you PLEASE ease my mind until Wednesday! Thanks!
Answers: I would have the dentist check it out when you get his teeth cleaned. Better to have it taken care of now before it gives him trouble in the future and also costs you more money.

I had my wisdom teeth start to come in sideways and then they went back under the gums and came out straight. It was the weirdest thing, but it happens.
in the long run the tooth may cause major problems
and give him a lot of pain now.
since he is young,
surgery to get the tooth removed,
ehh a bit questionable

talk it over if it is really bothering your son.
that may be best.

and when he gets older have a fake tooth put in or not.

depends on how bad it is.

talk with the dentist at the cleaning.
and get some advice from him.
