What do I do now??
Question: While I was preg, I lost all my calcium in my teeth, and got cavitys and accidently chipped my tooth at the beg of my pregnancy and they wouldn't take me in to the dentist because of the baby. I had to get 5 fillings well I guess six if you count my front tooth and i can't eat anymore as much as i try my teeth are too sensitive and i have been in the and out of the hospital if i really need to eat they have to feed me through tubes.. or if i get some painkillers from a friend i can usually get some food down.... the dentist told me that there is nothing more they can do for me... even another dentist said the only thing is to take my teeth out... then i will have NO teeth... what can i do anymore?
Answers: I feel so bad for you. I have never had something like that happen to me. I have no idea what you could do though. All I can say is keep trying to get help from other dentists. Good luck.
go to the dentist.
Get dentures. It's better than suffering.
Wow that's horrible. I don't like what your dentists are telling you. There has to be a way.
I don't understand why they didn't take you in to the dentist while you were pregnant. I was pregnant and I went, that doesn't seem right.
You'll have to call a couple of other dentists to see if they can do anything for you!
Good luck!
Root canals ...i don't know..tooth implants everything is expensive ..get some good dental insurance..or find someone who does charity dentistry....but I'm sorry, I hope all goes well....see dental care is mental and a necessary of life ..you need to eat ...dental care should be completely covered by the government....I know how you feel I have bad teeth since birth I was sick and it ruined my developing teeth cause of meds...it's painful....but please try to get these fixed and make sure you have no tooth infections they can cause serious problems medically.....Feel better.....
Health is a PRECIOUS thing. Once you lose it, it is gone, often for good.
In your case I would do ANYTHING to KEEP the teeth I have. You will not get new ones. Those store bought jobs are just not the same thing as originals. BUT remember too, you now have a baby to consider. Whatever you can do to get nourishment (Similac or other canned nutriants come to mind) I would do.
Now, for some anecdotal advise. I say anectdotal because I am NOT a doctor, BUT, when my mother was carrying me (1945-46) she was VERY young and my father INSISTED that she take calcium supplements during the whole pregnacy, which she did.
To this day, (62 years later) the dentists marvel at my teeth and their apparent resilliancy ( I DO NOT smoke) and I have never had a broken bone in my body (not a defining accomplishment in support of the calcuim supplements, but notable anyway) and to this very day I drink some 3 gallons of 1% milk a week. You need to consider this regimen in light of your unborn child. If YOU have a calcium deficiency that he/she may well have the same problem.
You use your teeth at least 3 times a day to eat (5-6 times if you count opening beer bottles as I do) and to have to put up with the pain and inconvience of poor dental health is NOT a legacy I would want to pass on to my child-especially if I NOW have the knowledge to do something about it.
Good luck.
Porcelin veneers. They bond to the teeth you have now.
