Does braces hurt being put on??

Question: Hey! I'm getting braces on monday. if you've gotten braces from jeffery jang. can u tell me the procedure because im really scared right now! some people said it hurts wen u do this or that. other people tell me it doens't! HELP ME! THANK YOU
Answers:
no but when they tighten them they might be alittle sore for a couple days but trust me it will all be worth it in the end
no pain.when they put the cement on like there painting ur fingernails but on ur teeth.
Only thing that hurts (aches just a little for a day or so) is when they tighten the wires. It doesn't hurt at all when they do it, but a couple hours later your mouth will ache. Take tylenol or advil, though, and it's not too noticeable.
When they glue on the brackets, they put this thing in your mouth that spreads your lips away from your teeth..it makes your gums feel like they're going to dry out...to me, that was the worst part. It didn't hurt, but kinda uncomfortable.
You will find it a little inconvenient at first and may find it difficult to eat food, but will get used to it eventually. From http://aches.in/dentalbraces.html
Do braces hurt being put on? Do . Not Does . Go see your english teacher immediately!

And Yes. Braces DO hurt when being put on your teeth. RUN!
Honestly it all depends on you and what type of braces they're putting on. For me, the spacers (what they put in before the braces) hurt, but only for a couple days. The braces made my teeth sore again, but that only lasted a week, or two (they just ached, didn't hurt like the spacers). After that I don't remember any problems, even when they took them off it didn't hurt (although it looks like it should).

When my mom got her braces on in June, she was complaining for months (and she has a HIGH threshold for pain). Although for her, the spacers didn't hurt at all (whereas for me they were the worst part).

So honestly it all depends, but at the end of the day, they're not going to hurt as much as you think they will.
The old style did hurt (they wraped a band around each tooth) , I don't know about the new methods I think they just glue a fixture on each tooth.
Okay, it was a long time since I got my braces on, but the only thing that hurt when they put them on was when the hygienist slipped and cut the bottom of my mouth. (which almost certainly wont happen to you). I don't think you should be worried about actually getting them put on, unless you don't like cotton in your mouth, (like me) because they'll use a lot of cotton.
Unfortunately, a day to a few days after the braces are on, and your teeth have really begun to move you will be in a lot of pain anytime you try to eat anything, to the point that I actually recommend a liquid diet for those few days. Once you teeth have settled into their new places, there are very few times when your braces will hurt thereafter.
Hello. The procedure of having them put in your teeth doesnt hurt. But before that they are going to do measurements on your mouth, some paste is going to be put in your mouth.

Afterwards, maybe on the next appointment, they will put the little squares in each teeth. This procedure doesnt hurt. Only until they connect all of the squares with a wire. This tightens the teeth together. Let me tell you this, IT HURTS LIKE HELL. It will hurt more especially if you have very crooked teeth. I dont say this to scare you, but its the truth. You wont even be able to chew the softest food. Not even bread. You will only be able to eat liquids like soup.

I recommend that if your teeth are not crooked, dont get braces. Your mouth wont feel the same afterwards.
no only for like three days
there really numb but u will get use to them
i have them!
Putting them on wasn't that bad, but you have to wear some wax on them because they can cut the inside of your lips. It isn't so bad once you get used to it. When they tighten the wires it will hurt for a while, but it is better than having crooked teeth.
