Opposite Adkins Diet???

Question: My freind and I were talking today and I told her that I really dont like meat all that much, I made the joke that if I could do a reverse adkins diet I would love it, she said she had heard that if you cut the meat out of your diet you could lose weight. Is that true?
Answers: I know people hate to hear it, but if you eat right and exercise, you'll lose weight. It's the only real way it's going to work, so just skip all the other.

By eating right, I don't mean cut out everything that's remotely bad and hope it works out. Just try to limit the bad, but don't be afraid to eat it every once in a while. Moderation is the key. It's really not that hard.
shut up
Well probably if you cut out a whole food group you could possibly eat less, but there are unhealthy aspects to that too.
Eat a well balanced diet and exercise. It's really boring but it works.
If you cut meat from your diet it is very important to find an alternative source of protein. The reason Adkins works is because your body will burn fat and carbs before it will burn protein. The real way to lose weight and keep it off is the ever unpopular eat less and exercise! Good luck!
Opposite of Adkins would be Vegan. I could never do it, myself.
What Fado said is correct about balance. I believe you are misunderstanding Adkins. It is not a meat diet, it is a low carb diet. You can have a low carb meatless diet, it is just harder to find much variety to eat that way. Remember, you basically have protein, carbs and fats. That is what makes up food.
