I know diet pepsi and diet coke are bad for u but can it still make u gain weight in any way even with 0 cal??
Question: i know its 0 calories but can diet drinks still make you gain weight?
Answers: Yes, look at the sodium intake. I used to drink coke, a lot. I stopped drinking coke and started drinking tea, sweetened with the real sugar, just not a whole lot of sugar. After a little time, I noticed I had lost a little weight. One more thing, a friend of mine went to a diet doctor, he told her to drink as much water, tea and cool aid as she wanted, just no sodas and to sweeten them with real sugar, just not too heavy.
yeah because they contain a chemical which is bad news called asbertain !
NO. NO calories, no weight.
Yes indirectly. It makes you crave other sweets.
Caloric content is what matters when considering what types of foods can cause you to gain weight. Since neither of these drinks contain any calories, they will not cause you to gain weight. However, due to the chemicals contained in them, you may want to consider other low-cal beverages that may be healthier alternatives.
You gain weight by consuming more calories than you burn, thus diet sodas cannot cause you to gain weight...there may be issues with the ingredients if you are intolerant to the stuff they are made with, but 0 calories puts on 0 pounds.
Don't drink anything with fake stuff in it. The healthiest choice when you want zero calories is water. Try the bottled sparkling water with a little bit of lemon, or unsweetened iced tea works well too! Neither of those will hurt you. :)
Yes because of the aspartame and all the sugar
I am a diet coke lover and I did hear that it can cause you to gain weight. The fact that there are 0 calories, makes one feel they can indulge in other ways.
I have heard that aspartame makes you hungrier. I would NEVER CONSUME those products EVER. I love my body too much.
I think they can make you gain weight or it may be just make you hold water. A few years ago I went on 800 calories a day, I was exercising on an exercise bike and drinking about 3-5 diet cokes a day and I never lost a pound. So I know they cause some chemical unbalance that prevents you from losing weight.
You cannot gain weight by drinking no-cal sodas but you can waste a lot of money buying them.
