Hi my afgan is 15 yrs she has never been sick in 15yrs 2wks ago she started a hard dry cough what do you think?

Sounds like kennel cough... has she been around other dogs lately? They can immunize her, but I don't think there is a cure. It lasts about 2 weeks.
i do believe youre talking about a dog ,it could be kennel cough.take the dog to your vet.
Had the same problem, it was heart worms. Get her to the vet.. They have a new treatment that is not as hard on them as in the past.. Good luck
