Did you try to lose weight with hypnosis?did it work??

Question: i'm quite sceptical about the whole thing, because if it's so easy and effective why i still see so many fat people around?
Answers: dont waste money and time over scams - there is just one way to lose it, and that is to change your lifestyle - eat less exercise more kinda thing - but take your time, you have been over weight all this time, there is no rush to get rid of it to fast - concentrate on the lifestyle change and the weight will take care of itself.
It's easy for a registered, licensed hypnotherapist to make a person think they've lost weight. It's making EVERYBODY ELSE think they've lost weight that's the problem!
I had it done, but there is one problem. If you don't listen to the tape they make for you for at least five weeks it will never work. I was told that your mind has millions of pictures that will remind you of food you have eaten in the past and every one of these pictures have to be removed form your thinking. So if you go to a person that does not give you a tape to listen to it will only work for a very short time maybe a week. Example: Lets say when you was sick your mother always made you an ice cream cake, or whatever, then when you get sick you will want that food. However if you have removed that from your thinking you want, want it anymore. I thank hypnosis is great as long as you have a tape.
First, weight loss is not easy. I know because I have lost a 122 lbs and kept it off for over 3 years.

Personally, I think it is the rare occassion that just one hypnosis session and bam, the weight is gone. Hypnosis is not a magic bullet but rather a tool to help you get what you want.

There is a large mental aspect to losing weight and keeping it off. There is reframing or getting you see to see food in a different light. There is replacing your current habits with new ones. The big one is self image. Now, all of this can be helped with hypnosis. If you doubt what I am saying, look the the Weight Watchers programs and the Tools for Life. All these tools have roots in practices developed in the hypnosis community. If WW puts in their program, there is usually some pretty good research to back it up.

This also brings me to another point. It does help to have a strucured program. I think that having good habits to replace the bad is absolutely necessary for long term success. Having a support network is vital. Weight loss really isn't a simple thing and again, it is hard work. It is something that you have to work at daily.

Now, to the last part of your question. There are many reasons why people chose to continuing being overweight. These aren't bad people. I also have to say that for some it is a medical thing. However, for many, it is just about the choices they make. It is about their self image. Why there are some many overweight is complex. Let me, however, offer a simple version of why. People prefer the instant pleasure of food to the pain of working to lose it. It is always easier to pick the option that offers an instant reward vs. an option that has a long term reward and a lot of instant pain. I am being over simple. There are also other factors like Supersizing and the fact that we like to sit around. However, at the end of the day for most people it is about the choices they make.
