Another acid reflux heartburn question??
Question: hi, can acid reflux or heartburn back up in your throat and make it hard for you to swallow? are these one of the symptoms?

Answers: Yes, acid reflux can cause that. Talk to your doctor, though. If you have difficulty swallowing, it could be another problem, like throat cancer. Chances are small that this is the problem, but difficulty swallowing is one symptom of cancer as well as several minor conditions. Better to check it out. If it is acid reflux, there are many medications to help.
Sometimes, I know my husband get real sick when that happens,
I go through bouts as well and acid reflux can be dangerous if your not being treated you should get to the doctor.

Yes, i get a lump in my throat, like you swallow food, and a piece of it sticks there. I have been taking prilosec for 2 yr. ask your dr. about it.
