I've taken a tampon out in a car. I didn't insert another.
Yes, thank goodness I was wearing a thick pad that day, but I just had that feeling that it needed to be changed right then and there, so I yanked up the skirt and down with the pantyhose, pulled the panties down just enough pulled the old pad out and put the new one in. All while in the drivers seat of my car, while in bumper to bumper traffic.
