How long will most girls grow after they get their first period??
Question: I am 13, and i just got my period. I am really short, like my mother, and hoping I will get taller. I read about people who stop growing 2 years after their first period, and then people who have grown from getting their period at 13 and grow to 19. I am really scared, and I think I am havinga meltdown.
Answers: 2-3 years, I believe it is. But don't worry. I got mine about 3 years ago, and I still seem to be growing. It's different for different people, but if it helps, the odds are against you being shorter than your mother. Don't be scared either! You've got plenty of time before you should worry about that!

u really shouldn't worry about ur height, cause the long bones in ur body keeps growing untill u r 18 to 2o years old , after that the ossfication center in ur bones is cloesd and don't worry i got my period when i was 10 years old and i am 21 now and i am taller by 15 to 20 cm.
