How do i know if i have an underactive thryroid without going to the doctor??

Answers: You don't for sure, it takes a blood test, hypoactive thyroid symptoms could be chronic fatigue, unexplained weight gain, depression and a list of many other things, look up hypoative thyroid for more info. See a Dr. if you suspect that is the only way to know for sure and to treat it.
Dry skin, brittle nails, depression, weight gain, fatigue, hair may fall out some, just go to the dr. this is more common in women then men. I have an under active thyroid. Just found out two months ago. If you think that you have an under active thyroid don't wait to be tested because your thyroid plays a very important part in every cell of your body.
Underactive thyroid, you'll be very tired and there will be a lot of weight gain. The thyroid gland controls your cells metabolism.
Symptoms, sluggish, tired, thinning hair, dry skin, brittle hair and nails, slow concentration, weight gain.
Seeing a Dr. is the only way to diagnose and get treatment. you can go to the health dept. if you have no money they charge by income or a clinic that does the same. Good luck....I've been there you need to get treatment asap so you'll feel better, it will get worse and take longer to get well.
