Guilt is part of the human condition and a shopping spree won't fix that. There are esentially three basic responses to eliviating guilt.

1.Address what factors contributed to your guilt. Any actions, exchanges of harsh words, or decisions. From there apologize or at least explain the situation, to those whom you have wronged.

2. Put away the guilt as the past. Everyone has things they feel guilty about. The best thing to do if the situation can not be resolved is to move past it and learn from your mistakes.

3. Follow both 1 and 2.
Aren't you not getting hard times sleeping? I think you know what does it mean to be guilty. Don't let it haunt you hiding from it, Try to go back and illiminate those guilty feelings. Thats the best thing you can do to be yourself again
At each moment in our lives, we do the best we can do at that particular moment. Judging a particular action later and allowing oneself to feel bad about it is insane behavior because it's SELF inflicted pain.

Your can't change the past. The best you can do NOW is correct the situation or make amends. If not, chalk it up to experience and select a different response should the situation occur again.

More importantly, be an example to others. ALL THINGS HAVE PURPOSE. You may encounter another who is experiencing a similar predicament. Sharing your experience may offer valuable assistance that person may not have otherwise obtained had you not experienced the same thing.
sweety you have to know that no body is perfect ,and sometimes it`s good to feel guilty about some mistakes we`ve made so we try not to do it again..and believe me without doing mistakes we never learn good and acceptable things ,and when you just come to realise those things you can then stop feeling guilty..thats what i think :)
Ignore it and do not react.
Either come clean about what you did to someone, or just know that you have moved on and you are no longer that person. We all make mistakes and feel guilty and terrible for things that we have done. As long as you acknowledge this, I don't see any problem with you being able to move on from what you are feeling so guilty about. Just know that whatever you do comes back to you in some way, somehow...its called Karma.
