How long and how much to be a doctor??
Answers: While most medical schools like their applicants to have a bachelor's degree or better, it's not necessarily a requirement. It DOES show that you stick with and complete your education. You need to check with the individual medical school to see what their requirements for entry are. They are actually fairly minimal, and many people without a science degree can take the classes they need within 1-2 years.
Med school itself typically lasts 4 years, but there are some accelerated programs, like Brown and BU, where you get your undergraduate degree and MD in 6 years.
Med school costs again depend on the school. There are some that are free if you sign up to pay back time to them as a doctor. State schools tend to be cheaper, and the private schools tend to be most expensive.
You pretty much need to specialize in order to work as a doctor, unless you work for the military, or some organization that doesn't require a specialization. The shortest residency time is 3 years, for specialties like family practice or pediatrics. Surgical sub specialties take longer, and it can take many years to become a sub specialist (like up to 7 for neurosurgery).
go to india, they seem to be shiitting out doctors out left and right. they pray to rats, but they become doctors.
4 years of college, then 4 years of medical school, then several more years of internship. all in all, a very long time. the cost depends on where you live.
10 years, depends on what subspecialty you want to be.no idea how much, depends on the country.
