How long can it take for periods to start after coming off the pill??
Question: I was on the pill (cilest) for 5 years, and came off it 7 weeks ago as i switched to the coil. I haven't had a period since. I'm not pregnant, is this quite typical? Thanks
Answers: Hi - I was on Dianette for about 7/8 years and no word of a lie, Ive been regular ever since coming off last year! But I think thats REALLY lucky. You should give youself a good few months xx
I got told up to a year but then I was on the pill 16 yrs. I'm 11 weeks pregnant now.
i was on the pill for 4years, and i came off it 9months ago and ive only had 2 periods, still waiting for something regular to happen!
Yes, this is normal...Your body was use to taking the pill...I was taking the pill and stopped...I didnt get my peorid until a year passed...I went to the doctor and he said it was normal...Be patient it will come...
It took be about 2 months to get my period after the pill was stopped.
Never heard of comming off the pill and not having your period the kneedle birthcontrol yes.
changing methods can cause change in your system am sure - but if continues into the usual timeframe - may want to at least check with the nurse of your OBGYN
